Your child's classroom teacher will inform you on the day(s) your child will attend class in the library. Library class is called "ILT," which stands for "Information Literacy and Technology." During this time, your child will participate in read aloud and/or storytelling experiences, literacy enrichment lessons and/or technology lessons (inclusive of mouse/trackpad practice, typing, information literacy, digital safety, and online research skills), and have book checkout time.
Book checkout will begin toward the end of September, after library orientation. You will receive a note from me once book checkout begins with library book checkout procedures and expectations. Please review these procedures and expectations with your child to ensure a positive library book exchange experience throughout the school year.
Please bookmark our library's website and check it often for information on library happenings throughout the school year! Be sure to connect on the Seesaw app as well to view library work samples from your child (more information to come). Interested in volunteering in the library this year? Look for information to come home soon concerning volunteer opportunities.
Have a great school year!
